Why we love it

You can sleep on your side in them. Ozlo lists each earbud at 1.6 g, and SoundGuys called them the most comfortable sleep earbuds it has tested, noting a pillow did not push them into the ear canal.

They block a lot of sound on their own. SoundGuys measured a 71.3% average reduction in perceived loudness from the passive seal, with 30 dB or more above 2 kHz.

They last the night. Ozlo rates them at up to 14 hours, and SoundGuys had about 30% left after 8 hours of streaming.

Questions

Are Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 worth it?

For side sleepers who need quiet, reviewers mostly say yes, with price the main complaint. Sleep Foundation names them its best overall sleep headphones, Tom's Guide rated them 4.25 out of 5 and SoundGuys 7.6 out of 10. Gizmodo gave 3.5 out of 5, calling the price too high.

Do Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 block snoring?

Partly. The passive seal cut perceived loudness by 71.3% on average in SoundGuys' lab test, with 30 dB or more above 2 kHz but only 5 to 10 dB below 200 Hz. There is no active noise cancelling, so masking sounds do the rest.

How long does the Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 battery last?

Ozlo rates them at up to 14 hours of playback, with 2 to 3 more charges in the case. SoundGuys had about 30% left after 8 hours of streaming, and Gizmodo saw the battery fall from 100% to 60% over a 7.5-hour night.

Do Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 need a subscription?

No. Ozlo charges no subscription. Optional Ozlo Care covers accidental damage and loss for $40 a year, a single replacement earbud costs $75 and eartips $20 a pair, per Ozlo.

About Ozlo

Ozlo was founded in 2022 in Boston by engineers who had worked on an earlier sleep earbud that was discontinued. Its Sleepbuds pair a soft passive seal with sounds that cover snoring and street noise.

A narrow product done properly: comfortable for side sleepers, with an alarm that wakes you and not your partner.
