What we feature
We feature only brands we would use ourselves. We choose each one for how well it is made, what the evidence says and what owners report. Brands cannot pay to be included, and nothing joins the list without the editor's word.
Every claim is cited
Each product page leads with a short answer, then shows the proof: research on the product or its core technology, lab tests, and clearances and seals in the certifier's own terms. Owner reviews show their average, count and source, including whether they come from the brand's own store, where the brand can moderate them. When a brand makes a claim we cannot verify, we attribute it to the brand or leave it out.
Commission never decides
Many links on this site are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when you buy through them. Commission never decides what we feature, which product carries the Editor's Pick label, or what we write. Some brands on our list have no affiliate program at all.
Editor's Pick and best picks
One product per category carries the Editor's Pick label: the one we would point most people to first, for reasons stated on the page. Our best picks lists name the products that fit a specific need, with the facts behind each choice.
Our family of brands
STAND+ is part of our family of brands. Wherever we recommend a STAND+ product, and on its own page under the buy button, we say so, and it is held to the same standard of proof as every other product.
Prices and updates
Prices change. Each product page shows the price we last checked and an Updated date. Check the brand's site before you buy.
