Why we love it
Each side of the bed gets its own temperature. Eight Sleep lists a Pod 6 range of 55°F to 110°F per side, so one partner can run cool while the other runs warm.
Pod 6 is more powerful than the model before it. Eight Sleep says its thermal engine runs at 550 watts, up from 400 on Pod 5, reaches temperature 20% faster, and sits in a Hub half the size of earlier ones.
Sleepers rated their nights better with it on. In an independent 2025 randomized crossover study of 34 adults on a Pod 3, self-rated sleep quality improved with cooling switched on.

Questions
Is the Eight Sleep Pod 6 worth it?
If temperature keeps you up and the price fits, it combines two-zone cooling and sleep tracking in one cover. A queen costs $2,899 plus a required first-year Autopilot plan, $3,198 at checkout. Sleep Foundation rated the earlier Pod 5 8.9 out of 10; no major outlet has reviewed Pod 6 yet.
Does Eight Sleep require a subscription?
Yes, for the first year. Autopilot is required for the first 12 months at $199, $299 or $399 a year, per Eight Sleep. The 5-year warranty applies only while an Enhanced or Elite plan stays active; otherwise it is 2 years.
Does the Eight Sleep Pod help you sleep better?
People report feeling better, but measured gains are unproven. In an independent randomized study of 34 adults on a Pod 3, self-rated sleep quality improved with cooling, with no change in actigraphy, heart rate or HRV. A 2025 meta-analysis of cooling bedding trials found no effect on measured sleep.
Eight Sleep Pod 6 vs Sleepme Chilipad 2.0: which should I buy?
Eight Sleep adds sleep tracking; Sleepme skips the subscription. Pod 6 runs 55°F to 110°F and costs $3,198 for a queen at checkout with the first-year plan. The Chilipad 2.0 runs 55°F to 115°F, per Sleepme, and costs $2,998 for a two-sleeper queen with no subscription.
