Naboso Activation Insoles are $55 textured insoles, 3 mm thick with a 1.5 mm texture, made to give the soles of your feet more feedback rather than more cushioning. They suit barefoot-style training and balance work. We include them because research on textured surfaces shows balance effects, though the one trial of these insoles found no significant difference.

Why we love it
The idea has research behind it. A 2019 Gait and Posture meta-analysis of 10 studies with 318 healthy adults found textured surfaces cut eyes-closed sway (SMD 0.75), though results varied widely between studies.
Older adults may gain too. A 2017 PLoS One meta-analysis found textured material stimulation improved postural control with eyes closed on a stable surface (SMD 0.61) and in older adults (SMD 0.30).
It is a low-cost way to try sensory insoles. At $55 it lists well under the $120 to $140 other sensory insole systems cost, and close to a mainstream premium support insole at $59.99.
Naboso is upfront about what it sells. It positions the insoles as wellness products, and its medical disclaimer says they are not intended for diagnosing or treating disease.

Questions
Do Naboso insoles work?
The evidence is mixed. Meta-analyses of textured surfaces found less eyes-closed sway (SMD 0.75 across 10 studies of 318 healthy adults) and better postural control in older adults. But the only trial of Naboso Activation insoles themselves randomised 15 children and found no statistically significant difference between groups.
How much do Naboso insoles cost?
Naboso's Activation Insoles list at $55 with no subscription. Its Neuro ($70) and Duo ($80) lines cost more. Other sensory insole systems list at $120 to $140, so the Activation insole is a lower-cost way to try textured feedback.
Can you return Naboso insoles?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery, per Naboso's refund policy. Naboso keeps the shipping cost, may charge a $10 restocking fee, and excludes items with creases, water damage or discoloration from use.
What are Naboso insoles made of?
Naboso lists the material as RBEVA textured polymer, cleaned by wiping and air drying. A retailer lists the Activation insole at 3.0 mm thick with a 1.5 mm texture, latex-free, 100% recyclable and trimmable to fit your shoe.
