Why we love it

It has a podiatry seal. APMA's seal database lists the AntiGrav1 with the APMA Seal of Acceptance.

The cushioning was measured. In a June 2024 lab comparison by Heeluxe, published by STAND+, the AntiGrav1 ranked softest in cushioning and lowest in energy return among the shoes compared. STAND+ commissioned the test, and it is not peer reviewed.

You can adjust the fit at home. STAND+ says warming a tight area with a hair dryer for 15 to 30 seconds lets the shoe mold to your foot, and the insole is an OrthoLite X40.

Buyers rate it highly: 4.79 stars from 1,057 reviews on STAND+'s store. It is also HSA/FSA eligible for qualified customers through Truemed, after a licensed provider reviews a health survey.

Worth knowing

The outsole wears faster than you might expect. STAND+'s own FAQ says customers who stand on hard floors through long shifts can see meaningful outsole wear within months, and calls that a real pattern. STAND+'s FAQ also says the AntiGrav1 does not carry ASTM F2913 slip-resistance certification, which matters if your workplace requires rated slip-resistant shoes.

Best for

  • Long shifts on hard floors
  • Closed-toe recovery wear

Questions

Is the STAND+ AntiGrav1 worth it?

It suits people who stand on hard floors all shift and want a soft, closed-toe slip-on. It carries the APMA Seal of Acceptance, ranked softest in cushioning in a brand-commissioned Heeluxe lab comparison, and averages 4.79 stars from 1,057 store reviews. Weigh that against the $120 price and outsole wear within months on hard floors, per STAND+.

Does the AntiGrav1 have the APMA seal?

Yes. APMA's seal database lists the AntiGrav1 with the APMA Seal of Acceptance, which is APMA's own term for it. The seal applies to specific products, not the whole brand: APMA's STAND+ listing does not include the AG3 Recovery Slide.

Can I buy the AntiGrav1 with HSA or FSA funds?

Possibly. Truemed's STAND+ page lists the AntiGrav1 as HSA/FSA eligible for qualified customers. You complete a private health survey, a licensed provider reviews it to decide eligibility, and then you pay with your HSA or FSA card. Truemed notes that tax savings vary, so eligibility is not automatic.

How do you mold the AntiGrav1 to your feet?

STAND+ says the AntiGrav1 is heat-moldable at home: warm any tight area with a hair dryer for 15 to 30 seconds so the material can shape to your foot. The method comes from STAND+'s own custom-moldable page; we found no outside fit test of the AntiGrav1.

AntiGrav1 vs AG3: which STAND+ should I buy?

The AntiGrav1 ($120) is a closed-toe slip-on with the APMA Seal of Acceptance and a Heeluxe lab result, made for long shifts. The AG3 ($65) is a slide for after a shift or workout, with no published lab test or seal. Buyers on STAND+'s store rate them 4.79 from 1,057 and 4.88 from 265.
