What Joovv makes, and why we feature it
Joovv makes red and near-infrared light devices, from the handheld Go to modular full-body panels. We feature two that both run at 660nm and 850nm: the Go 2.0, a $549 handheld with 12 LEDs, and the Solo 3.0, a $1,699 panel with 150 LEDs that hangs on a door or wall, per Joovv.
Outside measurements match the spec sheet. Light Therapy Insiders measured Solo 3.0 peaks at 660.7nm and 853.6nm with zero flicker, and Wareable tested both devices in May 2026 and rated Joovv 4.6 out of 5. Joovv says Intertek certified both to IEC 60601 medical electrical safety standards.
The research on red light for recovery is mixed. A 2024 meta-analysis of 34 trials found light before exercise improved muscle endurance, with no benefit seen in physically active people, and a 2025 meta-analysis rated the evidence on muscle soreness as low certainty.
The proof
- Joovv says Intertek certified the Go 2.0 to IEC 60601 standards, including IEC 60601-1-11 for home healthcare use. Source

- Light Therapy Insiders measured the Go 2.0 at 37.1 mW/cm2 at 6 inches with a spectrometer, the highest of 7 handhelds it tested. Source
- Light Therapy Insiders measured the Solo 3.0 at a 72.4 mW/cm2 peak, a 59.2 mW/cm2 average over 9 spots and 84.9 W total light output with a spectrometer. Source
