For training days, the options here are modest on evidence. Naboso's $55 textured insoles target balance work, backed by research on textured surfaces rather than on the insole itself. STAND+'s $65 AG3 slide is for wearing after a session. Comrad's knee-high suits wearing after exercise, where compression research shows small, uncertain recovery benefits.

Research on textured surfaces says they can. A 2019 meta-analysis of 10 studies with 318 healthy adults found less eyes-closed sway (SMD 0.75), with wide variation, and a 2017 meta-analysis found better postural control in older adults (SMD 0.30). The only trial of Naboso's Activation insole, in 15 children, found no significant between-group difference.
After looks more promising than during, but the evidence is weak. A 2025 meta-analysis of 28 trials with 600 runners found socks worn while running did no better than regular socks. A 2026 meta-analysis of 9 trials found soreness at 24 hours leaned toward post-exercise compression (g = 0.62), with very low certainty.
